Dim Lighting Accent Lamp

Do you know what you’re missing in your living room? A mysterious orange glowy box. It’s like the fireplace you could never afford. Unfortunately, it doesn’t give off heat for those cold winter nights and it really doesn’t add much lighting to a room either. It’s just an orange glowy box, a cheap imitation of a fire and a poor excuse for a lamp. Think of it more as a lantern, something that could guide you through the darkness of your home.
But really, who invents a box of orange light? Maybe if there were no top to it, the light would be able to spread out into the room and serve some purpose. But no, then the ashes from the fire would get out. Ha, not really. It’s not a real fire, not a real lamp, so how would you categorize such a box of orange glow? It can be useful in the case of dim, romantic lighting, yet the structure and design of this glow box give off a feel of entrapment. And really, how romantic could that be. If you’re looking for a romantic atmosphere, stick with the traditional candles around the room. And get the scented kind.
Item: Mission Style Mica Accent Lamp
Price: $19.99
Rating: 1 out of 5
Pros: The dim lighting can help in times of total darkness.
Cons: It’s an orange glow box, enough said. A cheap alternative for a fireplace. It doesn’t give off enough light to make much of a difference. The design reminds me of jail bars.
