Fool those bugs with these bowls which are made to not only feed your cats and dogs, but they are made without any type of chemical or preservative, so are not hazardous to your pets or children (or even the environment). The bowls are made to prevent ants and other small bugs-they simply will not creep up and into the bowls. They are made of a strong plastic, and it looks like the bugs are thrown off by the four little knobs underneath the bowl that elevate the bowls off the ground.
The fool-a-bug dishes are very easy to set up. There are instructions right on the front of the bowl and included in the package when it arrives. It is very important not to let the bowl lean against any other surface, wall, appliance, or even any objects. If your cats or dogs are messy, be sure to clean up any dropped food, or of course that will attract ants back to the area. The manufacturer suggests placing the bowl on a hard smooth surface.
Now, in the event a small bug somehow manages to get in the bowl (this would be a very rare occurrence), just wash the bowl in hot water filled with suds, and that should get rid of the problem.
This product is a wonderful solution if you are having any troubles with ants, fireants, slugs, or related tiny bugs getting into your cats’ or dogs’ food bowls. It is surely the way to go.
